A Very Merry Christmas

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas everybody! Despite my sadness that it is the end of that time of year I still take pleasure in writing a blog post about it and enjoying all of the presents. I had such a lovely Christmas this year and I hope that everyone else out there did too. Now I've been told many times by my friends that the way my family does Christmas is quite different from everyone else's so I thought I'd write about exactly how everything goes down in my house on Christmas Day!

It starts off with myself being the first one up and making it my job to awaken everyone else in the house. After that we tiptoe downstairs and go in to the living room to get our presents that Santa has left us. Unlike every other family I know, Santa doesn't seem to wrap our presents but me and my sister don't mind. We spend the day mainly going through our amazing gifts that we were given and I let my parents open an early present from me each year so they can get started on the yearly tradition of Christmas puzzles. After hours and hours of my dad slaving away in the kitchen, the Christmas dinner is finally ready. We eat our dinner in record time and once it’s all cleared up, have some fun with the crackers and the fun that comes inside of them. We then move back into the sitting room where it's time to open our presents from under the tree which we call our family presents. We take it in turns to open each of our presents starting with myself and going up in age order, ending up with my dad. After that we usually put on a mildly Christmas-themed movie or something to watch. This year it was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and after that's all finished we carry our presents upstairs and say goodnight.

I love how my family does Christmas although I'm sure other ways are equally as fun. I also loved every single one of my presents this year and I picked out a few to show you!

Dot perfume by Marc Jacobs

Blanket scarf from the Atmosphere section in Primark

The Throne of Glass book series written by Sarah J. Maas

Vinyl collectible figures of Coronation Elsa and normal Elsa from Frozen

I'm so grateful for every present that I got and I really enjoyed giving out presents this year because I worked really hard on all of them which just made it the best Christmas. I hope everyone else got lovely gifts but more importantly had a fantastic day and time with their loved ones.
Love Imi xx
